Tru-Spec 24-7 Series WeatherShield 3-In-1 Parka
September 10, 2012
Prepare for all weather and save space in your closet with the Tru-Spec 24-7 Series Weathershield 3-in-1 jacket. This waterproof, breathable jacket can be worn three different ways: wear the jacket or the fleece liner independently or wear them together for extra warmth on cooler days. AFMO sells the jacket with and without the fleece, so make sure you pick the one you want carefully. We also have a massive selection of other military jackets and clothes.
If you’re in law enforcement, this versatile jacket was made for you. The chest pockets have detachable ID tags with hidden zippers, mic loops on both shoulders, and a detachable ID panel on the back. Two side zippers with snap tabs allow quick access to your side arm, duty belt, or pants pockets. These jackets are made in black and navy so they are appropriate for on-duty use but have a modern look for off-duty wear.
The Tru-Spec Weathershield 3-in-1 jacket has a good number of pockets to help you carry everything you need on patrol. In addition to the two vertical chest pockets, there are two additional zippered pockets on the chest and two bellowed and flapped patch pockets with hook and loop closures. The bellows allow these lower pockets to hold bulkier gear and hook and loop closures mean easy access to the items you need most. There are also two side welt pockets with hidden zippers.
The 3-in-1 jacket also has an elasticized waist with snap tabs for a perfect fit every time. Combined with the adjustable hook and loop sleeve cuffs, you can adjust your jacket to keep out the elements. The back yoke with cape opening allows the jacket to lay flat across your shoulders and you can easily add or remove the fleece with the locker loop. The fleece isn’t just a liner: it has an adjustable cord lock waist, a patch pocket on the chest, and two side pockets with zippers. It really is a stand alone jacket.
The Tru-Spec 24-7 Series Weathershield 3-in-1 jacket is as attractive as it is functional. With one item, you get three different ways to keep yourself warm on- or off-duty. Few other jackets offer this kind of versatility; none look this good. There’s also a warmer/thicker parka version, but you might want to wait on that one until next winter.
