Winter arrived bringing some mighty cold weathers this 2013. The
gang and I are gearing up for the 2013 Annual Big Brother Winter Moose
Hunt. Jack, Tim, and Rob talked me and some of the other guys from
work, into forming this event to give back to the community by being
male mentors.
Last year the event was a hit! 20 males from the community were
picked by their names being pulled in a drawing at all the local high
schools. Relationships were formed, with great success we decided to
hold the Annual Big Brother Winter Moose Hunt from now on.
On the downside to our first event, multiple teams complained about
the one that got away. We’ve all heard our fair share of those tails.
But when eight out of the 10 teams told the same story, I had to
investigate. Since everything is included in the hunt by us, it must be
faulty equipment.
When all eight teams, that is 16 people, were asked “what
happened?”, the exact same words came out of every team; “When taking
the shot, my hands were so cold I could not feel my trigger finger
causing me to shoot before I was ready”. The gloves given to each
individual for the hunt did not stand up to the freezing cold
temperatures in the snow.
A friend sent me a link to AFMO.com which in turn led me to the
AFMO.com blog page. I posted the situation details and asked for any
advice on products that would solve our un-happy trigger fingers
problem. The five people that responded gave the same answer as a
solution to our problem.
Cold Weather Shooting Gloves; that’s what’s needed to keep our
young hunters trigger finger warm and ready to take that perfect shot.
The official glove of the Annual Big Brother Winter Moose Hunt is,
Franklin Uniforce, Tactical Grip Tip Cold Weather Gloves.
Thanks to all the wonderful people that responded and contributed
to what is expected to be the event of the season in our wonderful
little town. Know that you have made a difference in 20 young men's
lives.
