From Bootstrap to Battlefield
If you like to get out there in the great outdoors in all weathers and cover all kinds of terrain, or if you like camping and hiking in your leisure time, then army boots may well suit you perfectly. The reason the US Army boots are so great is because they tend to be designed and manufactured with military operation in mind, but that’s not to say we shouldn’t have a need to wear them. If you are buying a boot for your leisure wear then why wouldn’t you want something that is made from the best materials and manufactured to military specifications that is going to provide you will all day comfort? Naturally, you would want that specific type of boot.
Army boots are likely to be the hardest wearing boot you would own and they are made to be owned for a lifetime. They are built to last and put up with a punishing regime of walking over rough terrain in extreme weather conditions. With all of that punishment, you would think they couldn’t possibly be comfortable, but you would be wrong. The main aspect of any army boot is comfort, ask anyone serving the military and you would be told that comfort comes above all else with their footwear. Of course, they don’t just have comfort; good army boots will provide all round protection with complete peace of mind that you can rely on them in the toughest of locations.
So where you can you buy your army boots? There are sale restrictions on many
of the army or military items you would see, and you would have to be
registered or licensed to buy them, but army boots are a different matter.
Whilst army boots are designed to high military specifications, they can be
sold to the public as well. A well-made, well-known brand named army boot will
carry you through any locations you are likely to find yourself and you will
have footwear you can trust not to let you down when the going gets really
tough.
Any army boots have to be sturdy and robust and they need to withstand the
rigors of whatever situation the wearer find himself or herself in. Side zip,
steeled toe, waterproofed and extremely comfortable boots may sound like a
dream but they are readily available because that is what military
specification will demand. Army boots can be more specific such as jungle boots
or desert boots or even tactical boots, but the one main thing any of these
boots need to have built in is cushioning comfort all around. Cushioned soles
and lining with extra padding in vulnerable areas are a must if the boots are
to keep army personnel on their feet day after day.
