Don't Bleed Out: Use QuikClot

QuikClot First Response Box 25/50 Gram Sponges

QuikClot is a must-have for any first aid kit. First responders use QuikClot to stop severe bleeding at the scene of the crime, accident, or fire; hikers, climbers, and hunters need QuikClot in case of an emergency when theyre out on the trail and far from help. When you dont have time to get to a hospital, turn to QuikClot, the hemostatic gauze of the United States military.

Independent studies by both the Naval Medical Research Center and the Army Institute for Surgical Research have shown QuikClot to be number one in safety and effectiveness. The United States Special Operations Command has included QuikClot in its Tactical Combat Casualty Care guidelines for first line treatment of life-threatening hemmorhage. TCCC is used by all branches of the United States military to properly train non-medics to handle preventable causes of combat deaths. Through this training, soldiers have used QuikClot to save many lives in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Heres how it works: the gauze contains kaolin, a mineral that absorbs water molecules in the blood and leaves behind the larger platelet and clotting molecules. By concentrating these molecules at the wound site, QuikClot rapidly accelerates the bodys natural coagulation process.

AFMO supplies QuikClot Combat Gauze, First Response, ACS Plus, Sport, and Sport Silver. QuikClot Combat Gauze is the original battlefield-proven material. It looks like and can be used safely in place of regular gauze, but only QuikClot Combat Gauze can stop severe hemorrhaging. QuikClot First Response, ACS Plus, Sport, and Sport Silver are individually packaged sponges for quick, convenient use when time is of the essence. Sport Silver even has ionic silver to prevent bacteria and fungi when help may be a long time coming.

Unlike other hemostatic agents, QuikClot stays cool and is easy to use on any size wound. The gauze or sponges can be safely left on until medical help can be reached and they are easily and cleanly removed. Im going to include two videos here. One is pretty gross, but shows how effective QuikClot really is. I promise its a pig, not a person. The second one is just someone talking about how it works, so if you feel a little squeamish, watch that one instead.

This product is effective and its not something you can just forget about until you need it. If you need it, it will be within seconds. Prepare for the worst by getting something that will help blood clot on its own. Get QuikClot today and hope that you never have to use it.
